Daimler Majestic Major limousine

The Daimler Company Limited was founded in London in 1896 and was England’s oldest car manufacturer until it was absorbed by Jaguar in 1968. The Majestic Major, manufactured in Coventry England, was the last true Daimler. Daimler badging continued on for Jaguar as an upscale trim level after that. True to its name, the Majestic Major had its roots in Royalty. Daimler was awarded a Royal Warrant to provide cars to the British Monarch in 1902; this continued for half a century until they were dethroned by Rolls-Royce.
