1. Profit

In order for a business to grow, you must be able to be profitable. Your first task is to make your business profit and then focus on growing your business with the profit you earn. Some companies are not profitable because they are expanding, but they will need to regain profitability once the expansion is complete in order to stay in business.

2. Outsource

Outsource tasks that do not generate a consistent income. It is important to always focus on the most scalable job duties in order to grow. As a business owner, you cannot be doing jobs like customer service, inventory management, packaging, and shipping, etc. Instead, hire team members at a lower rate to complete these tasks while you focus on sales and marketing.

3. Divide Labor

You cannot do every job in your business. You should delegate your job duties to your team in order to efficiently grow. Divide your company into sections like development, customer service, and sales or marketing. If you’re trying to do everything at once, you will be unorganized, scattered and not efficient.

4. Sales & Marketing Duplication

When you are promoting your business and you find a successful advertising stream, double down and focus on duplicating your efforts. Never stop a task that is consistently creating a profit. Instead, figure out a way to monetize the task and then expand. This is the best way to grow your business while doing less.

5. Track Everything

Record all of your customer’s information including name, company, address, email address, phone number and anything that will help you better understand their situation. Carefully tracking all your inventory, expenses and cash flow to make sure your business is profitable.

6. Use Data To Scale

Review your data to see what advertising ventures are working best and who your best sales representatives are to take the important calls. The more data you collect, the more you will know about your business.
